The member representing Kazaure, Roni, Gwiwa and Yankwashi Federal constituency, Muhammad Gudaji Kazaure in the House of Representatives has been handed 6 months suspension by the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kazaure local Government in Jigawa State.
A letter of suspension that was signed by the party Chairman, Kazaure local Government Hassan Lawan said the Federal lawmaker was suspended for six months over his alleged injurious post on his Facebook and tweeter handle against the state Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.
He said the action of the lawmaker is contrary to article 21(ii) and (v) of the APC constitution.
The chairman explained that the suspension followed an earlier suspension by party executives of his ward, Yamma.
The letter reads, “Based on the complaints received from the lawmaker’s ward the local Government executives of the party held an emergency meeting and came up with two resolutions, including setting up of seven-man Disciplinary Committee to investigate the allegations and report back within ten days while the lawmaker is suspended for six months pending the investigation.”
Gudaji in his tweet, accused Governor Badaru of single handedly nominating chairmanship and councillorship candidates for the forth-coming local government elections without primaries or any consensus as provided by the party’s constitution.
