DELSU 200L Student Drowns In Delta Beach

WARRI: A student of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, identified simply as Divine has been reportedly found dead in a beach popularly known as N100 beach, Abraka, Delta State.

The Union Nigeria gathered that the incident occurred at the Voustapin Beach, Abraka.

Sources said that, “A 200L student in the Department of Chemistry, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Mr Divine on Sunday got drowned in a popular beach in the university community.

“He died at Voustapin Beach popularly called ‘N100 Beach’.

“Divine went swimming with his friends till when the sad incidence occurred.

“While catching their fun, they discovered that Divine was nowhere to be found.

“We thus, went in search of him only to discover that he was dead after drowning.

“A relative of Divine said that the parents of the deceased have been notified of the incidence.”

When contacted for comments, the State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO DSP Edafe Bright confirmed the incident to our correspondent in a phone chat.

The PPRO said,  “it is true,  it has just been confirmed that someone died really. But I am yet to get the detail report about the death.” DSP Edafe Bright said.
