The Peoples Demcratic Party and the All Progressives Congress, being the major parties in Nigeria, will slug it out with other parties for the governorship seats of states across the country.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held its governorship primaries across Nigeria during the week ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The results of the primaries are now being released across several states.

The Peoples Demcratic Party and the All Progressives Congress, being the major parties in Nigeria, will slug it out with other parties for the governorship seats of states across the country.

Below is a list of those who emerged successful in both parties in the exercise so far.

The successful candidates in APC are:

  1. Babagana Zulum (Borno state)
  2. Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos state)
  3. Mai Malam Buni (Yobe state)
  4. Idris Nasiru (Kebbi state)
  5. Uche Nnaji (Enugu state)
  6. Ovie Omo Agege (Delta state)
  7. Bello Matawale (Zamfara state)
  8. Dr. Dikko Umar Radda (Katsina state)
  9. Tonye Cole (Rivers state)
  10. Uba Sani (Kaduna state)
  11. Nentawe Yiltwada (Plateau state)
  12. Dapo Abiodun (Ogun state)
  13. Abdulrazaq AbdulRaman (Kwara state)
  14. Aishatu Binani (Adamawa state)
  15. Umar Namadi (Jigawa state)
  16. Ikechi Emenike (Abia state)
  17. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna (Kano state)
